I am Alexe Nicholes and I am here to serve families in all of their photography needs through personalized inclusive photography sessions.
For as long as I can remember, I have had a passion for photography. As a young girl I always loved taking photos. Through 4H and classes in high school I was able to grow and cultivate my abilities. Of course, at this time, everything was film. I learned to roll and develop my own film as well, which has become a lost art.
Although this passion has always been a hobby, it is one that has always made me feel complete. It has allowed me to be me. For years, I have dreamed of starting my own photography business. Unfortunately there were always many hurdles and other parts of my life that needed to take priority over my hobby. However, I have been given the opportunity to pursue this passion, this thing that I have always wanted to be more than a hobby. I thank my family for this blessing.
As a photographer, I want to strive to create a unique, personalized, and fully inclusive session experience. As a mother of two young boys and a daughter with special needs, I am all about family and being inclusive for all. For several years, I have worked with photographers and all of them have always been very kind to my family. I have always appreciated that; however, I have found that many do not always do well with understanding families with all types of needs.
Littles can be difficult, their attention spans are short and posing is not something they understand. LIttles need to be able to move. Natural landscapes and families/children being themselves create the best and most memorable photos. Allowing littles to "play" during their session can assist in capturing the best shots.
Children and adults with special needs are clients that can prove challenges for photographers. Many photographers do not provide the time it can take to get a good shot, and many do not have have the patience needed to work with those with special needs. Family members are the best consultants when it comes to working with those with special needs. They allow you to know and understand what is a "good" shot. They can assist with understanding the client best and how to reach them.
As a new photographer I want to provide these inclusive concepts for my clients. I want to bring patience, my knowledge of those with special needs, a listening ear, and time to the table for all of my sessions.
As I venture out on this path, I am here for you! I am a teacher, a wife, a mother, a hobby farmer, and I am now proudly adding photography to my credentials. I hope to provide a unique and fully inclusive photography session for each of you and your families.
